Louboutin List

Christian Louboutin Hyper Prive in Satin

I'm not really a fan of getting older, but since my birthday is just three weeks away,  I guess there's not much I can do about it. To help soften the blow, I was thinking that an extravagant shoe purchase might be in order!

I've wanted a pair of Louboutin's for a really long time, but I'm pretty practical when it comes to my shoes.  I don't have a problem spending good money on the ones that I'll live in, however, when it comes to heels it's hard justifying the price when they'll spend more time in my closet than on my feet. Needless to say, I'm lacking in the pretty and completely impractical department.  So, I've decided that my birthday present to myself is going to be a total splurge!  The only question now, is which pair?

Christian Louboutin Hyper Prive heels have always been at the top of my wish list, and now may be impossible to track down. I can't find them anywhere online! Has this style has been discontinued? The Very Prive is so similar (smaller platform), and I'm sure they would satisfy my urge for some Loubie's. ;)

Here are all of the gorgeous shoes that are being considered...
Christian Louboutin Very Prive in Satin, Leather, or Patent $795

Christian Louboutin Greissimo in Suede $895

Christian Louboutin Lady Bow Slingback in Crepe de Chine $735

I'm also pretty obsessed with all things Miu Miu at the moment, so I thought I'd throw a few into the mix.

Miu Miu Patent Leather Peep Toe Pumps $670

Miu Miu Sequin Platform Pumps $750

These almost fall into the practical category, but the heel height (for me) is anything but everyday.

Miu Miu Platform Leather Ankle Boots $675

I can't possibly make this choice myself, so I'm hoping you'll all weigh in. :)

Which pair should I get???

Happy { Easter } Weekend

I use to get really excited about my Easter outfit when I was a little girl, and I'm happy to say that nothing has changed. I think my Mom may have made this dress...I can't really remember, but I DO remember the shoes! I was SO thrilled with these white, patent mary janes! I loved the sound that they made when I walked , I loved that they were shiny and new, and I loved how I felt in them! (Amazing how new shoes still have that affect on me)  :)  I couldn't wait until Easter to wear my new shoes, so that first night I slept in them! Yep, even woke up in the middle of the night to make sure they were still on my feet!

I may not sleep in my shoes now, but when I find an amazing new pair, they do get prime real estate in my closet. Although,  if I owned these Chloe wedges, I might just "accidentally" fall asleep with them on. ;)

Wishing you all a Happy Easter!

On the Turquoise Trail

Lately, I've been on the hunt for a fab turquoise ring to add to my Spring/Summer ensembles. While hardly a new trend, a bit of turquoise is a spring must for me.  It'll pair beautifully with whites, pinks/corals, yellows, nudes/tans, demim and of course black! Normally, my rings consist of $5 Forever 21 knockoffs, and honestly I couldn't be happier. I get more compliments on them! So, I actually started my search on the F21 site, and just wasn't loving anything. Somewhere along the way, I came across this little gem. Seriously, this ring has my heart!

At $195, it's not a total bank-breaker, but thought I'd look into some more budget friendly options.
Here's what I found over at Shopbop:

Frivolous or Frugal: Trench Coat

I'm about to head out of town for a quick work trip, and where I'm going isn't as warm and sunny as LA. I was thinking that a classic trench would be the perfect coat to take, except for one problem...I don't own one! Crazy I know! I won't have time to go shopping before I leave, but the second I get back it WILL be added to my wardrobe. With such a classic peice, I can easily justify spending the extra $$$ on the Burberry, but the Banana Republic version comes in petite sizes. Since I'm only 5'1, the later might be the best option.

What do you think - Frivolous or Frugal?

Look, No Hands

I’m thinking that Spring/Summer is the perfect time to ditch my heavy handbags, and switch to a smaller, hands-free, cross-body satchel. Don’t get me wrong, I adore my large bags, and should since I’ve spent enough money on them.  But, there’s something liberating about not “kitchen sinking it” all the time. (carrying everything but the kitchen sink) These smaller bags are great when you only need the essentials like a phone, small wallet/credit cards and lipstick. Here are a few that I’m considering:

Office Inspiration: Pink Glamour

I'm beginning to think about #4 on my 2010 Goals List, and honing in on my style for the room. I decided to look through my archives, and found some pics that I forgot I had. Interestingly enough, I still like them! You see, when you love design in all forms, you can appreciate anything and everything. It becomes very hard to decide on just "one" direction. I'm pretty sure that I want some version of a pink, Hollywood Glamour room, but open to mixing it up a bit. Pink is something that has always stuck with me, ever since I was little, and I love anything that nods to the past.  I think these images are exactly what I'm feeling for this space...

I love, love, love this chandelier! Unfortunately, it's way, way, way out of my price range!

This isn't pink, but it could be! I've always loved this image from the now defunct Domino magazine. A collection of black & white photos, all framed in black would look amazing on a pink wall!
