Getting Back on the Horse

The blogging horse that is.

I had the rare opportunity last week, to start the holiday weekend a little early, and extend it past Monday. (ok, way past) I hadn't planned on unplugging totally, but it was exactly what I needed. I didn't take a fancy vacation, or do anything in particular, but I did get a chance to reconnect to my life. I was in desperate need of decompressing, just so that I could find joy and inspiration again.  Trust me, you wouldn't have wanted to read my blog last week. So, I took some extra time to myself just to LIVE. I've had zero schedule for the past seven days, and it's been such a welcome change of pace for me. So much so, that I've been struggling with getting back to normal life, and well, blogging.

But, the time has come to get down to business, and I feel ready. More importantly, I feel inspired!

xoxo,
Bren

P.S. Bear with me as I catch up on all of your amazing blogs. I'm sure I've got a lot of reading to do. ;)

  1. Welcome back! I've needed the same down time last week and this week. While I have been blogging, I've been so bad at replying to comments. I just needed some time to myself - and I think we all need that time to recharge.

  5. Welcome back and can I just say how amazing your break sounds??? Sometimes my favorite thing in the world to do is NOT to go on vacation, but take a few extra days off just to unwind and deal with myself. I feel like I need a break like that right about now (even though I just had a long weekend, but I need a longer one?). Well, I hope you're feeling refreshed and get some time off more often!

  6. Welcome back Bren! Sounds like a well-deserved break. Everyone needs to do that for themselves on the regular or we'd all be crazed and stressed out. BTW - if I were you I'd go to the Madewell store tomorrow for the AC line to launch in store. It's SOOO far from me but I'm tempted to drive up. Hope you have a good and relaxing weekend!

  7. Glad to see you back in the saddle again. : )Oh! and to answer your question, YES! Laguna Beach. And if you do make the trip down you might also try Happy Sushi, that is if you're a sushi person. Have a great weekend, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you're bringing to your blog after your welcomed break. xoxo

  16. A warm and hearty welcome back, my lovely, glad to hear you had a nice and relaxing holiday. I adore such holidays - the ones without schedules, the relaxing, languid ones like the one you had;-)

  17. YAY! You're back! Glad to see this... but seriously, I know, sometimes you just need a break and to think about and do NOTHING.

Secondly, Nutella Martini with Jamie & Valerie!? Umm, can I come too? (LOL - totally creepin' on your comments ;)
