Christian Louboutin Hyper Prive in Satin
I'm not really a fan of getting older, but since my birthday is just three weeks away, I guess there's not much I can do about it. To help soften the blow, I was thinking that an extravagant shoe purchase might be in order!
I've wanted a pair of Louboutin's for a really long time, but I'm pretty practical when it comes to my shoes. I don't have a problem spending good money on the ones that I'll live in, however, when it comes to heels it's hard justifying the price when they'll spend more time in my closet than on my feet. Needless to say, I'm lacking in the pretty and completely impractical department. So, I've decided that my birthday present to myself is going to be a total splurge! The only question now, is which pair?
Christian Louboutin Hyper Prive heels have always been at the top of my wish list, and now may be impossible to track down. I can't find them anywhere online! Has this style has been discontinued? The Very Prive is so similar (smaller platform), and I'm sure they would satisfy my urge for some Loubie's. ;)

I'm also pretty obsessed with all things Miu Miu at the moment, so I thought I'd throw a few into the mix.

These almost fall into the practical category, but the heel height (for me) is anything but everyday.
Miu Miu Platform Leather Ankle Boots $675
I can't possibly make this choice myself, so I'm hoping you'll all weigh in. :)

I say go with the Louboutin's. There's something very special about the red sole.

Although the Miu Miu's are just as stunning, especially the one with the sequins. :)
I LOVE the MIU MIU Sequin pumps the most :)

I'd pick the Christian Louboutin Greissimo. I love the classic silhouette of the first version, but you can always find something similar for a more reasonable price tag. I just love how the Greissimo is still classic, wearable, but a little more special - definitely a day-to-night pair.

I say Louboutin's ALL THE WAY!! I have a pair of classic pumps that I will pretty much forever. Of your picks I would go with the Prive style because it's timeless. Leather of course will take the most wear. I had mine soled with red rubber under the ball to ensure they'd have a long long life. DO IT BREN!!! You only live once!!

Ahhh! Bren! We're both Scorpios! it figures doesn't it? my birthday is in 2 weeks! I love your first pick - the Hyper Prive. I also love Greissimo and the Lady Bow. I think the Gressimo would be the best sexy and pretty shoe - the most versatile for different occasions. But I'm not keen on suede since it fades and scuffs.

i lovee the Greissimo's. but i also loveeee all the miu miu ones youve picked. but i rekon go with Louboutins, they are so classic. nothing beats the red heel. such tough decisions! good luck :) xx
ReplyDeleteThough they may not be deemed as "fun," I think the Very Prive Loubs are the way to go. You can dress up/down and you'll wear them FOREVER!

ReplyDeleteOh my vote is the first or second CL's - both totally classic. The suede is obviously even more impractical but just as amazing! And the Miu Miu's would be a fabulous birthday present next year!! Yay, can't wait to see which you choose!

ReplyDeleteI don't think there's a wrong choice here but I think you'd get the most wear out of the Very Prive Louboutain. It's the same one I've been eyeing myself. But I'm waiting for something like my birthday to roll around like you're doing!
